Toulouse & Bordeaux

Toulouse is known as La Ville Rose (The Pink City), this is one of France’s most vibrant and dynamic cities. Built from its distinctive pink terracotta bricks, Toulouse combines centuries of history with a youthful energy, thanks to its world-renowned aerospace industry and large university population.

Elegant squares, beautiful riverside promenades, excellent shopping, museums, theatres and hundreds of cafés and restaurants make it a wonderful destination throughout the year. Toulouse is also home to the region’s international airport, providing convenient connections across Europe and beyond.

Around two hours to the west from Lavardens lies Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage city celebrated for its magnificent 18th-century architecture, grand boulevards and elegant waterfront along the River Garonne. The city is regarded as one of the world’s great wine capitals, surrounded by legendary vineyards producing some of the finest wines ever made. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, gourmet restaurants, luxury shopping, art galleries and vibrant cultural festivals before strolling through its beautiful historic centre.

Both cities offer experiences that perfectly complement the peaceful lifestyle of the Gers. Spend the morning exploring world-class museums, enjoying a Michelin-starred lunch or discovering fashionable boutiques, before returning in the evening to the tranquillity of Lavardens, where panoramic views, fresh country air and complete peace await.
